recap
Well, I did manage to get it all done last week, right down to the wrapping of presents on Christmas Eve. This week has been a whole lot of nothing so far. I scrapped with Rachel at the Lounge on Sunday afternoon, ran to Target again for more 50% off treasures (I got square Santa plates) and today everything was 75% off so I got Snowman plates and black and gold paisley ones to boot. We just ran to Costco and Macy's right now. Three more days off, a weekend and then back to work for &*^$ and giggles. I can hardly wait.

Back again
Go me, here I am again and it hasn't been a month since the last post.
Only one day to go and vacation officially starts. I'm planning on heading in early again tomorrow (lately I've been getting to work between 6:30 and 6:40 am). I want to finish my plans for the first week we're back and get stuff cleaned up. Before I leave I need to change the calendar and the F-us wall too. Hopefully I'll get done about 3:30 so I can head out for dinner (Onion) and scrappage (Oasis). I've got lots of plans for Saturday, one of which is to sleep, lol! Tamales are getting 'did' on Sunday and then I'm hoping to take the Blazer for an oil change on Monday. Hair is getting done on Tuesday and I guess I'll spend Christmas Eve wrapping up a storm as usual. It seems I never get that done as I go, I like to just get it all done in one big sitting. Hopefully the week goes as planned... and hopefully I'll come back and report on it all. 'til next time.

catch up again
Damn, another month gone by and no bloggy. I guess that means there's not a lot to report. Here's a recap of recent events (though not an exhaustive list of everything I've done since last blog post, lol)
1. baked all day at Claud's. We have tons of Christmas cookies all done. Napped today as a result of yesterday's productiveness.
2. Scrapped on Friday with the girls. A wonderful time was had by all, even Pita got to join in since we had met up earlier in the evening for her bday.
3. Wrapped and delivered the gifts to the Ruiz's already. So proud to have gotten that done in time for cookies yesterday. Now on to the rest of my list, :)
4. Got report cards done and conferences almost all completed. Still waiting on two no-shows. The likelihood of them showing at all? Slim to none.
5. Built my december daily book a la Ali Edwards, still have not completed a page. Deciding to keep it for next year, lol.
6. Almost done with mom's cards. The envies should arrive from SU tomorrow so I guess that's my for sure deadline.
7. Haven't done any cards to send on my own behalf. Not happening from the looks of it.
All caught up for now with the big stuff blogland. Later days...

Since I'm on a roll...
Gads, it's been a long time
True to form, it's been a long time since I've blogged. At least this last lapse didn't last a year, lol.
So, what's up:
So, what's up:
- Work is still there. That's the thing I hate about school, it's just so daily.
- Looking forward to my classes at the Oasis this weekend. It seems I've got a lot of supplies to gather together by Saturday, hmm, one more thing for the list of to do's
- Had a great Friday night. Scrapped with my buds, went to dinner with Georgette, and actually put pix in my Happiness book. I'm hoping to head back for more scrap time on the 21st.
- Saturday was a blast. We did the whole So Cal tour it seems. Went to the Convention for some new stamps. Got lots of Tim Holtz stuff for my Ali December book. Then we headed to Torrance to visit the best Bakery and loaded up on Chocolate Chews. (There are some stashed in the freezer for later, shh!) We ate at La Cupilla and visited Scrampers as well. Then we headed to East Los Angeles for pan dulce from yet another Bakery2. We finally got home after 5, exhausted, broke and happy.
- I sold almost $80 at my lss' yard sale. Not much to buy there, I'll probably stock up on Bazzill or something.
- Waiting for my Big Shot from SU! It should get here tomorrow or Thursday.
- Enjoyed my day off today, got a hair cut finally, yeah!
Well, that's about as updated as I can get for now. I'm so proud these links actually work :)

Horrid day
I know it's been a while since I've posted. Things have pretty much been the same. Too much to do at work and not enough time to get it all done. Then today we heard the most horrible thing happened last night to one of our Kinder students. I can't believe this. It's just too horrific to even wrap my mind around it at the moment...

time's flying
wow, i can't believe it's been two weeks since i've visited this poor blog. there's nothing major to report, just the same old stuff at work. it's only been 29 days that i've had this class but it seems like 129! ugh. they are 'no fun'. at least this weekend we got to go to la quinta for some scrappage. i managed to work on a couple of pages, made 6 cards and put together the bones of a mini album. we even visited the wooten's in palm desert. jill couldn't believe that the owner's knew who i was, lol. since today was the twelfth, i managed to get some good pix on the way back. i stopped at the dinos and outlets at cabazon. i bought myself a juicy wallet :) i compromised with myself and didn't get the purse but i did get something. i scored some punches at m's and we ate in n out for dindin. i'm ready for school tomorrow i guess. like i said, nothing major going on, just the work doldrums. i so need to get to vet's day for a day off!

Another week down
Ugh, it seems that school is just dragging yet there is so much to do everyday. I tested CELDT on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, tried to catch up on Wednesday (worked on the new ELD groupings), tested some more on Thursday and Friday as well. I hate testing afterschool. Those tests are so boring to give and after talking all day, the last thing I want to do is more talking. Ugh. Thursday I met up with the parents and the boys at the Fair. Dad was in the parade so I got pix of the '62 in all its glory. On Friday, I managed to leave around 4:30 to come home and get ready for mom's bday dinner. We went to Vince's, yummy as usual. On Saturday I met up with Aimee at the Oasis for some scrappage and lunch at the Little Onion. Yesterday back to school to get stuff ready for this week. Today is over already so I've got 4 work days left and then we can scrap again at the O. Hooray! Plus, J has arranged for us to go to La Quinta again on the 10th-12th, oh yeah! More scrappage is coming my way. Once I get the pix loaded for the month I might even be able to share some creations.

It's Sunday already?!
Not sure where my week went but it flew by:
Monday-got &%$# pissed at our new 'support' staff. 'Nuff said.
Tuesday-got the kids to finish their writing assignments to hang for BtoSN
Wednesday-SMARTboard training. Finished up grading papers, putting up room, came home and fell asleep by 7:30
Thursday-Tried to connect said SMARTboard at lunch. Realized I don't have a projector. Yeah, it was one of the twelve stolen in May before they even got engraved. Hmph. Won't be using that for BtoSN. Only 8 parents showed, none of them matching up to the super low kids. Whatev.
Friday-Out and about with mom
Saturday-On a quest for Mrs. Grossman's bear stickers for Jake. Bears were found, trapped and delivered
Sunday-worked in classroom for a spell, came home, did basically nothing all day. Now I'm loading pix onto smug and getting all my last minute stuff done for work tomorrow. Off to another week.

So tired already
Damn, this first full week of school felt like an eternity! No clue how I'm supposed to deal with this for 171 days more. Thankfully, there are Fridays to look forward to-scrappage, good dinners, time with like-minded friends. Without those Fridays I'd surely be looking for a job at Staters (paper or plastic?). I'm off to school tomorrow for a spell as well. Have to get the room ready for Back to School Night and clean up a bit. I boned out yesterday to scrap and left a disaster on my table. I hate having to work on the weekends but there's not enough time in the day to get stuff done. I napped today and hopefully tomorrow will be a productive day. I'm hoping to go the movies tomorrow but I know that's a long shot. Once I get going at school I'll probably not be able to leave for a good while. So much for an interesting post. Hopefully tomorrow I can post some pix for once.

home at last
Well, tonight was another round of fairdom. We went to see the Monster Trucks (we being the carnal, Pita and the 'phews). Between us a deep fried White Castle Burger, funnel cake, pulled pork sandwich, western style sausage, cheese on a stick, cupcakes and fries were consumed. I sure hope that was it! I'll really have to get pix transfered to the 'puter over the weekend so we can have a replay of the goodness. There was a new monster truck, ROCK STAR, that did backwards wheelies! Very cool indeed. Plus Uncle Joe Benson was there and there were some Navy parachutists who came in during the Star Spangled Banner, being that it was the anniversary of 9/11. There's nothing more American than Monster Trucks, LOL!
Yesterday wasn't the fiasco we all envisioned. We got there after 9, at lunch at 11:30 and were back on the bus by 12:15. We had half an hour to kill when we got back, no one got lost and the whining wasn't as incessant as I thought it would be. Glad it's over, hope not to have to go back next year.
Tomorrow is Little Onion and scrappage at the Oasis. I missed last week so it's about darn time! Looking forward to it LOTS-even if I have to roll by myself :( I'm sure I'll finish tons of pages ;)

catch up Monday
I hate that I don't bother to update everyday but at least it hasn't been a year since I've been back. Nothing much to report, other than last week was long (and it was only four days), the Fair opened on Friday and I met up with the boys and the parents. Let me say here the boys missed school for opening day, ahem. We saw trains, the parade, ate dippin' dots, piggly wigglies, baked potatoes and a cupcake. It was all delish. I head back on Thursday for the Monster Trucks, yahoo!
This weekend was a bust. It seems like I spent all Sunday in the Blazer going to 99 cent stores, Costcos and Targets but I got all the goods I wanted so I guess it was worth it. Today was work and it was there and I'm home still working on a newsletter no one is going to read and trying to decide if I should buy some new stamps from Catslifepress. Yeah, I'll probably do that this week.

ebaying fool
Well, I managed to win one of the two auctions dad was watching yesterday and I won the one for today. Go me! This car can almost be done and then we can look at stuff for me on ebay, LOL!
School's school. I've broken down and driven the truck to school two days in a row. So far doing that has meant getting there about 7:00 in order to park it where I can see it but then I'm justifying leaving at 3ish so it's even as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure I'll go back to driving the Geo and getting there with 3o seconds to spare in the morning. In the meantime, it's nice to drive home with a/c. When I got in the truck today the temp said 100 degrees! What?!
I may indulge in a bit of scrappage if I can get myself away from the 'puter in a timely fashion. I can spend so much time procrastinating here in front of the monitor. I really should go have fun with paper, glue and such.
Off to browse a bit and then hopefully have a little me time.

One really down, 179 to go
I amuse myself, ah. There are 179 days of school until summer vacation. Wanna know what killed it? One of my students told me that there were 104 days of vacation that had just passed. A boy after my own heart.
The first real day went well. We got settled in, passed out all of the lovely supplies and books and worked a bit. Don't want to make them not want to come back tomorrow you know. Right now I'm just perusing Peas and waiting for dad's ebay auctions to be up. I hope I can get these pieces he needs so we can stick a fork in the '58 Imp and call her done.
My feet hurt, I'm wearing Converse tomorrow, ha ha. Oh, Gossip Girl rocked last night. Two fave phrases: 'that mother-Chucker' and 'Chuck Bass-tard'. Go Blair! As if that weren't groovy enough, tonight is 90210!! Rock on!
Well, I'm off to get ready for ebaying my little heart out.

Last real day off
Since Wednesday here's what's gone down:
Thursday-Sat through a survivable "Write from the Beginning" training and an excruciating Science one. Found Cheez-It dust in my book bag. Real cute mom.
Friday-Tried to work on a science lesson as a grade level. It took all my will power not to throttle a team member. Not being grade level lead makes it much easier to reign in the impulse. Worked on the room the remainder of the day, boned out at 3:50 and headed to the land of palms and sea breezes. Met up with Aimee (back from the honeymoon) and Georgette at the Onion and scrapped the night away. Good times that.
Saturday-Went to the school to continue with crap I didn't finish Friday. Spent about 4 hours taking out my teacher's editions, hanging up construction backing on the boards, engineering the calendar to work on the back wall. Realized the sink was disgusting. Made plans to return Sunday.
Sunday-Staples, Office Max, Starbucks, school to scrub sink and make nameplates for the desks. Only stayed two hours and came home. It's as good as it's going to get.
Today-Planning on doing some scrappage after I check out the situation in New Orleans on Good Morning America, CNN and MSNBC. I hope things go better this go round than they did during Katrina. Gustav better play a bit nicer. It seems most are a bit more prepared. Other plans: Maybe hit a movie this afternoon? Maybe nap all day? Honestly, I'll be lucky if I shower before 3pm :) Plus I've got to get clothes ironed for tomorrow (the first day is the only day this happens) and a lunch packed.

One day down...
I managed to get up about 6:00, got showered and left at 7:10. Ugh. I was so tired during our staff meeting (which went way longer than was necessary). When it was over (10ish) I went and tried to work in my room for a bit but it was so effing hot in there it wasn't even funny. So I pretended to be busy working on copying crap in the office and repeatedly checking the email/running class lists from Zangle. I finally gave up about 11:30 and I went to lunch and shortly after the a/c was finally working. Yeah for a new compressor!! Once the a/c was repaired I got to work on hanging crap up, putting out books, getting supplies out, etc. I finally left at 5:00 only to arrive in time to mow. Ugh. The only really good things that happened were that I ordered all of the Studio Calico adds and got out of being grade level lead :) Sadly, this one day doesn't even count since the students weren't there. All for naught, I say.

Ugh, not tomorrow
Well, the time is fast approaching. I HAVE to report to work tomorrow. I guess because the CELDT went on forever I'm just not ready to head back. Thank goodness I made it over there twice last week, once with dad to do the walls and another time to copy the first real week and to laminate. Today I had a leisurely morning, didn't take a shower until after 1:00 and now I've been computering all afternoon. I'm sure it was a waste of my last official day off but I really didn't even want to go anywhere. Tomorrow I'm out of there when it's time as well as on Friday (since I'm going to the Oasis to crop). I guess if I'm still at the site on Thursday I'll stay a bit late to finalize everything. Ugh, I really do not want to start it all tomorrow.

Lazy day
Well, I managed to get to the school for about 4 hours yesterday. Dad went with me and we got all the paper and borders up on the walls and rearranged a bit of the furniture. I need for Jack to get the dolly and move my file cabinets across the room and then I can continue. I was all set to get over there today then realized that I DON'T HAVE TO so I didn't go. Instead I'm playing on dad's laptop reading about poor Lolo Jones and the Olympics. Oh well, tomorrow is a special teacher day at Office Max so I can stop by there in the a.m. and then head around the corner to the school for a spell. Besides, my SU! box should be rolling through and I need to greet the boy in brown when he brings it by, ha ha. I guess I'll make the most of the day and work on a few layouts.

Blah!
Nothing got done today but that was okay. I was supposed to go to the school and start setting up my room but decided to wait until tomorrow. I did manage to put together all of the layouts from Nora's class on Saturday and even added pix to four of them. Hopefully tomorrow I can do the other six, journal and call them all done.
I managed to catch an episode of Operacion Repo. I'm sure it's staged but it's entertaining in its own way. Do people really give the payment money to other people and expect them to actually make the payment? And who drives and pays for a car that isn't in their own name? Dumb. But, if you are here with no documentation I guess you have to depend on your 'compadres', LOL!
Well, I'm out for today. Hopefully something more important to post later.

Back?
Well, it's been a loooong time since I've visited this poor neglected blog. I know no one checked in before but after an absence like that I'm sure no one gives a damn, ha ha.
I'm going to try to improve this year. Maybe a once a week post of my scrappings? Maybe a recap of the week? Who the hell knows, I'm just going to get back on the bandwagon and give it a whirl.
For now that's it, ha! There's nothing to post or report. It's Sunday afterall :)
